In addition to international projection and
connection with colleagues, being a member
of ALPAR offers multiple benefits. Offers the
possibility to provide services in 25 countries,
through strategic alliances between members.
Commercial
advantages
with
supplier
companies. Exchange of knowledge, experiences
and cultures. Membership agreement with
the main international associations. Access to
digital information and exclusive virtual spaces
for permanent interaction between industry
professionals. Specialized content on different
topics concerning the industry.
Today the dream that started on July 8, 1988
materializes. That time in 1988 ALPAR was
founded during the meeting "First Latin American
Convention of Cemeteries and Funeral Homes"
led by Mr. Jorge Tamayo Gaviria, held in Cartagena
de Indias, Colombia. That meeting was attended
by a group of businessmen representing 9
countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia,
Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and
Venezuela. They created a mission and vision of
the organization that reflects the purposes of
collaboration, continuous improvement, honest
competition and efficiency for providing services
in Latin America.
Traveling throughout the continent, the ALPAR
founders visited all the countries. Thanks to their
academic and networking activities, 35 years later,
the organization boasts member companies in
25 countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada,
Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador,
El Salvador, Spain, the United States, France,
Guatemala, Honduras, The Netherlands, Mexico,
Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the United
Kingdom, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and
Venezuela.
In 2023, ALPAR will celebrate its 35 years
anniversary
during
the
VII
International
Symposium of the Funeral Industry, which will be
held in Santiago, Chile, from the 27th to the 30th of
September. The event, which will bring together
delegates from major associations around the
world and industry leaders representing more
than 20 countries, will include an enriching
academic day, networking, technical visits,
supplier outreach and meetings of the ALPAR
General Assembly and Board of Directors.
We look forward to seeing you in Chile to
celebrate 35 years of our Association!
There are many benefits to being an ALPAR
member. Seminars and training, in person and
virtually, are one of them.
